The Michigan Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired (MCBVI) will hold our 48th annual convention Thursday, October 14 - Saturday, October 16. The theme this year is "Connecting, Cultivating, and Collaborating." Some topics include: "Connecting, Cultivating, and Collaborating" mind and body, collaborating with the MCBVI Technology Committee, and connecting with our membership, just to name a few.

William Robinson, Director of the Michigan Bureau of Services for Blind Persons
Laura Armenta, Founder and Creative Director of the Armentality Movement Art Center

EVENTS:

Thursday evening Audio described movie: "Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution"
Hospitality Room following the movie
Saturday morning: Memorial Service with Pastor Russ Zimmerman
Saturday afternoon: Business meeting, including elections of all MCBVI officers
Saturday evening: You are INVITED to participate in OUR virtual banquet, enjoy the cash bar while listening to highlights from Tyrone Hamilton's performances from previous conventions. Thank you to Mike Smith who is helping with this presentation.
This year, the Keynote Speaker will be Mark Richert, former First Vice President of the American Council of the Blind, and Interim Executive Director of the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AERBVI)
In addition, MCBVI will be presenting some awards for outstanding community service. Come help us celebrate!
